George III mahogany stick barometer signed Teste, Salisbury, c.1810.
The edge moulded case is veneered in mahogany with boxwood and ebony line inlays. The broken pediment sits above the silvered registered plate which is fitted with a thermometer and manually operated vernier and engraved with the maker's name, 'Teste, Salisbury', behind a glazed door. 
The exposed tube terminates with a glass bulb cistern concealed behind a turned mahogany cistern cover.
